As a European Citizen I was expecting to vote in local elections this year, as it is a fundamental right of any EU citizen in any other EU country of residence (including Portuguese citizens living in the EU) But NO! Some incompetent idiots decided that EU citizens on Pico may not vote unless they register to do so by August 13. I actually have a valid EU resident certificate. So, not only are EU citizens on Pico specifically forbidden to register to vote 6 weeks before elections, they are forbidden to integrate with local culture... Maybe the EU should withdraw funding?
